These beautiful fusions of metal and wood are the creations of Israeli artist and product designer Hilla Shamia. She put these beautiful pieces of furniture together by pouring molted aluminum onto wooden logs. This unique method allows the molten aluminum run into every crack of the wood logs, creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Moreover, the molten aluminum burns the wood and changes its color, making the black cracks contrast beautifully with the aluminum’s silvery coldness.
