Published 9 years ago

I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy spending time outside among nature. It fills us with energy and new powers to deal with the everyday world. Today I spent a very nice day on the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Day, which started at the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens today at 09:00AM. It was a very exciting day, filled with colourful and fragrant flowers, well-trimmed shrubs and lots of smiling people. Today all the exhibitors presented their beautiful works, and after lots of considerations the most talented and visionary designs were awarded. The highly praised City of Melbourne Award of Excellence for Best in Show was presented by Deputy Lord Mayor, Susan Riley, and was awarded to The Greenery Garden Centre Show Garden, designed by Vivid Design and constructed by Semken Landscaping.

The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is a flower show held annually since 1995 in the end of March or early April every single year in Melbourne, Australia. It is located in the World Heritage Site of Carlton Gardens and the Royal Exhibition Building. It’s considered to be the biggest horticultural event in the entire southern hemisphere. Each year it attracts more than 100,000 visitors. It’s being rated as a part of the top five flower and garden shows in the world.
