25 Tiny Recreations Of Famous Landmarks Compared Side By Side With The Real Thing By Maxwell Tilse

Published 7 months ago

Ready for an adventure? Let’s journey to some of the world’s most incredible locations with Maxwell Tilse and his series of illustrations featuring famous landmarks. Tilse’s work captures these landmarks in miniature form, juxtaposed against their real-world counterparts as a backdrop.

Our team recently had the opportunity to chat with Max about his series, delving into the inspiration behind his small cut-out illustrations of iconic landmarks. Max shared that his inner collector drives his passion for these creations. He finds joy in arriving at a new destination and sketching a little corner, famous or not. Creating these mini landmarks is quick and easy, making them perfect for capturing the essence of a place in just a day or two. Max sees the photographs taken with the drawings on location as souvenirs in themselves, adding to the charm of his artwork.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.

Got wisdom to pour?
