‘Life’s Lil Pleasures’ In A Teeny Tiny Book By Evan Lorenzen

Published 10 years ago

There are softcover books, and there’s this. Colorado-based artist Evan Lorenzen is at it again – he has made a miniature book called “Life’s Lil Pleasures”. Only slightly bigger than a thumbnail, this tiny tome of truths is all about the little things that brighten your day. Naturally, it has such obvious pleasures like smell of rain and eating cereal out the skull of your enemy. It also includes such somewhat esoteric pleasures as chirping of the birds.

The book is beautifully illustrated, and it’s no surprise. Evan likes to keep things small, and has made several books that are both adorable, and cute – and even wax philosophical from time to time. He has even made the tiniest tarot deck! While working with these tiny wonders, Evan uses pen and ink, and sometimes watercolor. The inspiration for these works comes from mythology and medieval woodblock print.

One day, he’ll end up making a tiny, adorable Malleus Maleficarum
