This Artist Illustrates Her Therapy Process To Show People It Can Get Better (10 Pics)

Sacha Mardou is a British cartoonist and author of graphic novels who has been creating comics for almost half of her life. For the past year, the artist has been creating short comics exploring her therapy progress to help people realize it can get better. “I had to get comfortable with talking about uncomfortable things – my upbringing, growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness teen, my parents’ divorce, parenting my child, and the things that trigger me are just a few topics I’ve looked at,” writes Sacha.

The artist says it took her a while to get comfortable with sharing personal stories but the positive response from her readers really helped. “I’d love to share this work with others who are struggling with difficult emotions or family histories,” says Sacha.

“My message is that there is hope! Trauma and childhood adversity can be healed and transformed through therapy and self-compassion,” says the artist. Check out her illustrations in the gallery below!

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
