The imaginative work of Achraf Baznani
Moroccan photographer and filmmaker Achraf Baznani didn’t know he was an artist until he was a fully-fledged teenager. His artistic predilections became painfully apparent when someone gave him a camera for his birthday, revealing hidden depths he was previously unaware of. His first instinct was to look for the unusual in the everyday, capturing ordinary moments that looked extraordinary in his pictures. Carrying on the tradition of Surrealism, Baznani started inserting small human figures in his wild, imaginative and wholly impractical imagery.
A self-taught artist Achraf Baznani may have no formal photography education but his unrivaled imagination makes up for his lack of academic training.
