Glass Box On The Top Of Mont Blanc Opens Up A 3,396 ft Of Void Below One’s Feet

Published 11 years ago

The highest mountain peak in Europe, Aigulle du Midi, has just become even scarier for those with the fear of heights. The peak was improved with a glass box that allows visitors to walk one kilometer above pure void below their feet.

“Step Into The Void” is made of three-layered tempered glass walls, 12 mm (1/2 inch) thick, and hangs 1,035 meters (3,396 feet) above the valley of Mont Blanc. Needless to say how exciting and, well, hair-raising the experience and the view must be!

The attraction was opened on 21st of December, so you can try it out yourself by starting off from Chamonix and taking two cable cars to the top. The return fare is €55 (£46) / per person.
