There’s a number of amazing things here stop being so basic
These are all interesting, maybe a little outlandish, but overall pretty cool IMO. Also one is an actual piece of art, not something you would use. Can we stop labeling this stuff as “bad”? Unusual, sure. Quirky, absolutely. But every entry on this list is miles better than even the first “live, laugh, love” off white washed wooden sign someone hung in their eggshell painted open concept living room over their grey couch, much less everyone who still did that this year.
There was nothing “bad” in this whole article, except the authors bio perhaps. This is collectively some of the more uniquely ingenious furniture choices I’ve seen. So sad someone would dedicate an article to calling these things bad.
Then why add to the negativity?
I don’t see what wrong with most of these honestly. like what?!? I think these are super cool.
Horrible article from an ignorant writer with no taste, nor love for art! Boooo! Garbage piece Saumya! I, for one, absolutely love the first piece, along with some of the others!
They just took all of them from the “sorry for design” Instagram, the author didn’t put much in the selection process
Art is subjective to the viewer, and as said viewer, I think this article is wrong. I feel so bad for those with a closed mind toward at. People’s imaginations are all different and the work that went into not only designing but creating each of these pieces should be respected at bare minimum.
They’re all great, because they make someone happy! We’re so desperately worried about being too different. These people are not afraid to express themselves. Good for them!
IMHO only a handful downright questionable, but the others are really artistic and beautiful somemore.
The Gerald Scarfe Chairman Mao chair was part of a significant exhibition at the South Bank in the 80s. It is a satirical piece by a distinguished cartoonist and shouldn’t be labelled as bad! It’s a joke! Lighten up!

Yes Randi, it is. I actually clicked on this because of that photo. I thought it was a truly beautiful piece myself, but then again I tend to have some pretty eccentric tastes, which apparently SOME people find “bad”. Clearly this was “written” simply to fill a quota or something. There’s no actual writing to speak of anyway, lol. Plus the author clearly lacks an imagination and experienced quite the bland and boring childhood or something…
