This Guy Makes ‘Shoe-Shi’, Stylish Edible Sneakers Made Of Sushi
Meet Yujia Hu, a 28-year-old Chinese sushi chef, who has just introduced the world to his latest invention. Ladies and gentlemen, we present you with ‘shoe shi’ – a shoe made of sushi!
Well, to be exact, it’s mostly sneakers. The Italy-born Chinese artist currently based in Milan, Hu is a huge sports and NBA lover: “Now that I have to handle the family business, unfortunately, I don’t have much time to play, but I still wanted to express this passion in something else,” Hu told DeMilked. So he managed to combine his work and passion through sushi. And for those wondering: “Yes, they are 100% edible, and they taste good as a normal sushi!”
The shoe-shis take Hu around 30 minutes to make, which includes branding them with recognizable logos such as Nike, Vans or Adidas, which in turn makes the sushi look like they’ve just come out of the latest Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Think a pair of Kanye’s Yeezy 350s, Kyrie 2 Tropical, and Pharrell’s “Human Race” sneaks – Yujia Hu has your serious style and sushi cravings covered!
