11 Badass Tattooed Seniors Who Prove You Shouldn’t Worry About Your Tattoos When You’re Old

Published 6 years ago

Everyone who has ever gotten a tattoo probably has been asked: “Have you thought how it will look when you get old?” One Dutch project named ‘TattooAge. Never too old’ aims to change the stereotype of old people regretting their tattoos by showing seniors confidently rocking their ink.

The project features 25 elderly people showing their tattoos (some of which got their first ones being 80 years old) and telling the stories behind them – their experiences, loss of loved ones and life lessons. “With this project, we not only want to tell the stories behind the tattoos but prove that age does not matter. It’s a fact – you are never too old for a tattoo!” say the creators of the project. They even published a book under the same name that features photographs and teaching material on tattoo culture.

The exhibition began its tour across the Netherlands on September 20, so make sure not to miss it. Check out the pictures of inked seniors in the gallery below!

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
