An Otter House In Japan Now Has A Roundabout – No More Underwater Traffic Jams

Published 10 years ago

Japan is always up for building something crazy – like, for example, an otter roundabout – which is exactly what Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park in Miura City did! It is smaller in scale than other grand Japanese projects (like life-sized sculptures of giant robots), but not in inventiveness. The roundabout was installed in the pipe connecting the otter living area to a water tank where they go swimming and put on a natural show for zoo visitors.

Hopefully this new design will mean less otters get stuck in freaky underwater traffic incidents.
