This Artist Used AI, Facial Reconstruction, And Photoshop To Recreate The Looks Of Roman Emperors (20 Pics)

Published 4 years ago

If you’re into Roman history, you’ve probably read numerous stories documenting the achievements of its old rulers and wondered how they might have looked in real life. And even though quite a few statues and relics depicting these rulers have survived to this day, they only give you a rough idea of how they might have looked like. However, Tunisian artist Haroun Binous is about to change the way you see these emperors.

Using the power of artificial intelligence (AI), facial reconstruction and Photoshop, Haroun recreates the looks of Roman emperors, and the results are absolutely incredible. Caligula, Tiberius, Constantine the Great, and more – see how the Roman emperors looked in their heyday in the gallery below!

Aušrys Uptas

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
