Recycled Plastic Bottle Plants And Animals By Veronika Richterová
PET plastic bottles are everywhere – in fact, you might even be holding one right now! Veronika Richterová from Czech Republic is fascinated with them – enough to make sculptures out of the stuff! As a form of recycling, the ubiquitous PET plastic bottles are turned into animals and plants. Apparently, a green bottle can be made into a mean plastic cactus. But the work doesn’t end there – some bottles are meticulously shaped to become something fascinating, like a crocodile or a bunch of bats.
Veronika Richterová states to have been interested in PET bottles from an early age, and it shows. Her website hosts a comprehensive article on the rise of the PET bottle, its many uses, virtues and flaws, recycling, and so forth. She is also collecting PET bottles from around the world. Her PET-ART museum contains 3000 pieces from 76 countries, preserving the history of design of this ubiquitous item.
Might be a plastic crocodile somewhere there, too.

Got wisdom to pour?
Love the blue flower one at the top. Also, love that junk was turned to art!
