Artist Balances On Surfboard To Paint Amazing Seaside Portraits Of Women
Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel while lying on his back. Artist Sean Yoro paints these murals on a surfboard – and they’re at water level! Painted in acrylic, these portraits of women look like they’re emerging from the waterline, a cool effect that suggests a bigger painting underwater. And they reflect on the surface in the most wonderful ways!
Sean Yoro comes from Hawaii and works in NYC. He has tried his hand at graffiti, tattoo and watercolor art, but his real passion turned out to be paintings of humans. His Instagram is dedicated to portraits of women (sometimes on old surfboards), and the waterline portraits are his entry into the street art game.
Even though they’re far from anything resembling streets (unless he was in Venice)!
