Ford Built A Noise-Canceling Dog House For Anxious Dogs Who Hate Fireworks
We all know that most dogs aren’t very fond of fireworks on New Year’s Eve due to their hypersensitive hearing. In order to reduce stress on our furry companions, Ford of Europe have come up with a brilliant invention – a noise-canceling dog kennel.
“An estimated 45 per cent of dogs in the UK show signs of fear when they hear fireworks – causing distress to owners and their families too,” Ford write on their blog. They built the noise-canceling kennel using a technology similar to that used in headphones and cars. The microphones inside the kennel detect the sound of fireworks and a built-in audio system then emits an opposing frequency, thus significantly reducing the sound inside. “Preparing in advance of firework displays is the key – and part of that is to identify a place where your pets feel safe and happy,” says Graeme Hall, one of UK’s best dog trainers, nicknamed “The Dogfather“.
For now, the noise-canceling kennel is just a concept but hopefully, it will become widely available soon. Check it out in the gallery below!
