Movie Directors’ Styles Reinterpreted As Architecture
Federico Babina loves melding architecture with different subjects. For Archidirector, he imagined houses as designed by famous movie directors. Naturally, the houses Babina drew take more than a little influenced by the movies. Seeing a TIE fighter on a George Lucas’ house is probably the least subtle of details. But the circus-like appearance of Felini’s home or the ramshackle wooden house-carriage of Kosturica are spot on depictions of the atmosphere one can feel when watching their movies.
Federico Babina is an architect and graphic designer. He believes that these subjects complement each other wonderfully. “Sometimes I am an architect with a passion for illustration and others I’m an illustrator in love with architecture,” Babina said in an interview. Most of his drawing projects feature the “Archi” prefix and contain really interesting houses.
And we really adore his minimalistic, retro style!
