30 Relatable Comics About Mental Health By ‘Dinos And Comics’
Dinos And Comics is a funny and relatable webcomic about dinosaurs who deal with various mental health issues, started by Finnish writer James and a Canadian artist who simply goes by K. And if you’re wondering why the creators chose to show dinosaurs, in a recent interview with Bored Panda they said it was simply because they look cool.
The artists say that getting used to living with mental health issues is a pretty common experience. “You have a super hard time before you get diagnosed, then once you’re diagnosed, you (hopefully) get the support you need to make it a bit easier, but it’s always part of your life,” pondered James and K. :And now it’s been diagnosed, you think about it more, try to understand it and rationalize it.” They say that the dinosaurs in their comics are mostly focused on their friends and loved ones because even though drugs can be helpful, it’s the support from those around you that really helps you cope.
