LIX: The Smallest 3D Pen That Lets You Draw In The Air
The LIX 3D drawing pen is the latest product in the innovative and rapidly growing field of 3D printing. This device allows one to write, draw, create decorations, jewellery, and art pieces straight in the air. The developers launched this extraordinary pen just yesterday on Kickstarter and already raised 4 times more than they pledged for.
The LIX 3D printing pen is similar in function to 3D printers, using ABS plastic and receiving power through a USB 3.0 port. When pressed, the pen releases melted coloured plastic, which cools as soon as it touches the air, allowing the user to draw any 3D shape they can imagine.
How is this pen different from the other devices, such as the 3Doodler that we wrote about in 2013? It has a stylish design and is a lot smaller than any other 3D printing pen, which makes it a lot more flexible, portable and easier to use.
