Slinkachu Continues Leaving His Little People On City Streets Around The World
You might be familiar with talented London-based artist Slinkachu’s, as we wrote about his miniature street art a few years ago. We are happy to see that the artist hasn‘t give up on his “Little People“ and follows them around the world, capturing their little dramas, adventures and everyday lives on the streets of London, Paris, New York and many other cities. Once placed, they are left to be found by passersby.
“The street-based side of my work plays with the notion of surprise and I aim to encourage city-dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings,” writes Slinkachu. “The scenes I set up, more evident through the photography and the titles I give these scenes, aim to reflect the loneliness and melancholy of living in a big city, almost being lost and overwhelmed. But underneath this, there is always some humour.”
The ongoing series, called “The Little People Project,” started back in 2006. The artist’s techniques and ideas only seem to get better, judging by his three book releases.
