This Artist Creates Amazing Optical Illusions Using Simple Lines

Published 6 years ago

Katy Ann Gilmore is a visual artist based in Los Angeles, California. The artist has a degree in mathematics so it’s not hard to see where she takes most of her inspiration from – her works are highly detailed, rhythmic and symmetrical, much like an elegant equation.

Since graduating in 2014, Katy’s works have been published in many galleries around the United States. She says she is heavily influenced by topography and the relationship between 2D, perpendicular planes and their distortions into 3D space. The author has a unique talent of turning simple 2D lines into dynamic works of art that we’re sure you’ll appreciate.

Check out Katy’s line art in the gallery below!

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
