35 Photos From 50-100 Years Ago That Reveal How Much The World Has Changed
To understand what happened during times when we were not physically present, we need to be objective when piecing together the story. Since we weren’t actually there during those incidents, we only have eyewitness accounts to recreate the picture or, better yet, moments captured in time that help us make sense of the situation. Even then, eyewitness accounts are coloured by the beholders’ perspective and are a subjective version of events exclusive to their understanding. On the other hand, visual images help us gain a clearer interpretation of real events, especially of the last century. The following collection of rare photos from between 50 to 100 years ago provides an opportunity to interpret the subtle nuances that influenced events that transpired in history and how much the world has changed over the years.
