This Is What Happens When Professional Artists Reimagine Kids’ Monster Drawings In Their Own Style
Knowing that your idea inspired someone to create a beautiful piece of art is quite a confidence boost, especially when you’re a kid. The Monster Project aims to give just that by inviting over 100 artists to recreate the drawings of monsters made by elementary students.
The process of the project is fairly simple – a kid puts his creativity to work and draws a monster that later is reimagined by a professional artist. The artist then presents their own interpretation to the kid, that way introducing the young mind to new techniques when approaching the same original concept.”By collaborating with the students and finding inspiration from their imaginings, we hope to help them recognize the value of their ideas and make them feel excited about the potential of their own minds,” claim the organizers of the project. At the same time, the project encourages kids not to shy away from creative career paths in the future.
Scary or adorable (or both at the same time), these monsters show how much creative potential our kids, who don’t have any creative limitations, have in their brilliant little minds.
