The Only Women’s Prison In Israel Gets Photographed From The Inside

There are some pictures that make you want to teleport into them right away. But then there are photos by Israelian photographer Tomer Ifrah who offers us a way less dreamy view of life. With one of his projects he gives us an intimate look into the only women’s prison in Israel.

The prison houses only around 180 inmates right now, which compared to the 8 million population of the country seems like a drop of water in the sea, making their voice very hard to be heard.

But let these gritty pictures, formed by the everyday realities these women live in, tell you their story. Something about them just won’t let you look away…
