Guy Shares 3 Hilarious Sketches Of His Pet He Got For Donating $45 To The Humane Society

Published 5 years ago

A while ago, we wrote about how the Wisconsin Humane Society offered animal sketches for $15 donations. And after the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County started offering them too, one Imgur user’s wife actually took up on the offer and shared the hilarious results online.

The woman donated $45 for three drawings of their pets – a dog named Nora and two cats named Nala and Billy – and the results did not disappoint. In an interview with Bored Panda, 307Jackalopes, the husband of the woman, said that it was “her love for animals coupled with her unique sense of humor” that resulted in these hilarious renditions of their pets. Check out the sketches in the gallery below!

The husband said he didn’t know his wife donated the money until she told him over the phone. “So when she sent me the pictures, we were both laughing hysterically!” said 307Jackalopes. “I just had to share them with the internet so everyone else could see and maybe they would be inspired to donate as well.”

2 out of three of the family’s pets have come from the Humane Society so the Imgur user believes it deserves people’s attention and support. “I think the Humane Society’s idea to give portraits for donations is pretty awesome and unique,” said 307Jackalopes. “People seem to appreciate the humor in their efforts and it is heartwarming that so many contributed to the cause. I think the Humane Society is a worthy cause and I will gladly donate to them again!”

“Billy is our newest pet…the wife found him being blown around the interstate in, wait for it, Billings, Montana. He’s….special”

In the same interview, Victoria, the Communications Manager for the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County, said they were overwhelmed and overjoyed by the peoples’ reactions to this initiative. The organization relies mainly on donations from the public and says that providing joy to those submitting photos and their own volunteers has been very rewarding. “We even had a few folks who didn’t submit photos comment to say that seeing the photos and corresponding drawings made their day! We felt the same. It was two days of fun!” said Victoria.

The woman says that the organization ended up sending 239 animal portraits and that the volunteers had a blast making them. “Our shelter is so grateful to the volunteers for sharing their time and their talents with us!” said the woman. She also added that they plan on doing similar fundraisers in the future.

“Worth every penny! If you’re interested, look up the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. They have a bunch more drawings posted on their Facebook page!”

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
