New Beautiful Backlit Paper Light Boxes By Hari & Deepti
In their new series “Oh, The Places You Will Go,“ artist couple Deepti Nair and Harikrishnan Panickeer, aka Hari & Deepti, depict curious mythology- and sci-fi-inspired scenes in their captivating hand-cut paper art boxes. Inspired by their love of travel and nature, the artists put layer upon layer into the box to create 3D images and play with depth and shadows by back-lighting the boxes with LEDs from below or behind.
“‘Oh, The Places You Will Go!’ is based on our recent travel experiences [to Moab, Utah and Yellowstone, Wyoming] and inspiration that we have gathered along the way,” write the artist duo on their Black Book Gallery page. “All of us are explorers and warriors on a path of discovery – from India, New York, Thailand and Colorado, our trips have been filled with great experiences exploring the unknown.”
