“Parenting Your Parents”: 25 Hilariously Sad Posts About Adulting

Published 4 hours ago

Why did we want to grow up so bad? Because we thought we wanted to stay up late, go out whenever we want, and have as much money as we please? In hindsight, All these sentiments come off as incredibly silly when considering that we now look forward to going to bed as early as possible, avoid socializing like it’s the plague and have no money to spare after all the bills are paid.

Additionally, we have too many responsibilities and commitments to ignore, though I’m sure all of us would love to throw everything up in the air and plan a getaway to some remote island where we can finally live our best and most carefree lives instead of worrying about lugging our laptops to different locations and worrying about the wi-fi connection. But alas, thus is the life of a modern-day adult, as confirmed by the collection of painfully relatable posts shared in the gallery below.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.

Got wisdom to pour?
