This Woman Is Creating Funny Scenarios Using Disney Figurines, And People Love It (20 Pics)
Melissa Trierweiler is a Kansas City-based actor, director, and artist who has an interesting hobby – she creates all sorts of funny scenarios using Disney figurines.
In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the woman said she started creating the scenarios during her freshman year in college. She was a big Tumblr user and had a following of just under 2,000 people. Melissa created a few scenarios and started uploading them in an episodic format to her personal Tumblr account. “I made up the title The Official Princess Club and listed the episode numbers, though I didn’t intend on doing many. I posted about 8 episodes as they came to me, just for fun,” said the artist.

Melissa says she has been a fan of Disney since she was a kid and used to watch VHS tapes of Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Pocahontas with her older sister. “However, when I hit middle school, I wrongly adopted a ‘Disney is for babies’ mentality and took a break from it for several years,” said the artist. But it all changed once she started high school.

“I think the resurgence of my love for Disney went hand in hand with my love for musical theatre which I discovered my passion for around ninth grade. When I was eighteen, I actually got to perform as Ariel in a community theatre production of The Little Mermaid,” said Melissa. “I returned to Disney World in Orlando 2018 and have even dressed up as Rapunzel, Elsa, and Anna (among other characters) for Disney themed birthday parties and events. I think Disney will always continue to be a big part of my life and I love what the stories represent and appreciate how it continues to grow and change with the times.”

“This series compares and contrasts how the characters and stories are alike and different while putting a sassy spin on how these characters might interact with each other,” explained Melissa. “Would Snow White be as sweet as she’s depicted in her film, or is she secretly the queen bee of the castle? What are the princes really like, particularly those who barely ever spoke in their movies? What conflicts arise when the old-fashioned characters meet the new?”
