Published 5 years ago

Wake up, eat, watch Netflix, eat, admire your toilet paper fort, eat some more, go to sleep, and repeat – being stuck in quarantine can really make it seem like your life is stuck on repeat. Don’t worry – most of us are in the same boat. However, some people actually took inspiration from the monotony of quarantine and started creating some pretty funny art.

Take artist Matt Shirley, for example. The man is known for creating relatable graphs that perfectly sum up our lives and the recent quarantine inspired him to create some coronavirus related ones. Check out some of Matt’s funny graphs, charts and diagrams in the gallery below!

In a recent interview with Bored Panda, Matt said that as a freelancer, he used to do most of his work in coffee shops around town. And now that they’re closed, it has put a damper on the artist’s social skills. “Plus, I miss getting coffee and having a place for work that’s not home,” said Matt.

Matt says his ability to create relatable art goes all the way back to his childhood as he always had an intense desire for people to like him. That lead to the artist thinking about what he does from other people’s perspectives. He admits that while it might not be a great thing for his mental health, it certainly comes in handy when coming up with topics that people find interesting.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
