20 Stunning Portraits Of Farm Animals Living Together As A Family, Captured By This Photographer

Published 2 years ago

Tasha Hall, a photographer based in the interior of British Columbia, captures beautiful family portraits of farm animals. She has been creating “Farmily” portraits for around 8 years now. The photographer has traveled across North America to capture huge portraits of farm animals and their owners.

“I was inspired by our own farm”, she tells DeMilked, “I wanted to create a portrait that included ALL of our farmily members! I shared our first portrait on social media and everybody loved it. I started getting inquiries from other farms to have one done as well. And the rest is history.”

Talking about her creative process, Tasha says, “Before I even arrive at a farm, I have the clients fill out a questionnaire which tells me all about their farm and their animals.  By the time I show up to do the session, I already have a bit of an idea of what to expect.  Once we get there we tour the farm and decide where is the best place to actually create the portrait. We will create a set, and design the shoot from there. I can usually see the final portrait in my mind as we put it all together.”
