The Double Standards Of Our Society Revealed In 47 Comics
While many of our societies take pride in the accomplishments made in the field of equal treatment for everybody, there is still a lot of work to be done. And who better can reveal these absurd injustices than the illustrators, who are always on a lookout for those funny and sometimes painfully real contrasts?
Below you’ll find a list of the most striking examples of double standards in illustrations, highlighting not only the problem but also the stiffness of our minds when it comes to recognizing it in our own lives.
What situation from your own experience do these remind you of? Let talk in the comments.

Got wisdom to pour?
Men and women are different. Our bodies are different. In the majority of cultures going back thousands of years, women’s breasts have been a sexual turn-on for men. Women and men’s chests are different. Men don’t grow “breasts” to feed offspring the way women do. Nipples develop in utero before sex is determined, hence why men have them. The difference between men’s & women’s bodies, post-puberty, attribute to sexual attraction. It’s biology, engrained in our DNA. It’s not a double standard.
Yes. While it is true that women breasts do display fertility, as it is deeply rooted in primal instincts. Despite that, women should be allowed to walk around topless, with armpit hair, and some love handles, just like men. Yes for equalty. I mean, it should be just as acceptable for a man to be home with the kids, and a woman out working hard. If anything, why should women have all the fun looking at topless men? Men should also be able to look at topless woment.
Nope it is 100% a double standard. Countries outside of the US have more acceptance of females walking around topless because it’s not an issue. I have a friend that has no breasts. Like legit has no fat but in our same friend group has a male that has bigger tits then me! How is it okay for a male who had DD tits walk around topless but a female who has NOTHING but as flat chest and nipples HAS to to cover up or its unacceptable its fucking stupifd
Yes. While it is true that women breasts do display fertility, as it is deeply rooted in primal instincts.
First off, it’s not a double-standard, it’s literally just persecution and forcing social norms onto Everyone….it’s Just unfair and wrong, all of it. And this Meme of “men vs. women” itself is just a socially accepted stereotype that persecutes people based on gender, it’s a sexist double-standard too. All it does is ignore the issue and blame people for their gender, instead of actually talking about and caring about the persecution people suffer from in general.
Some of these are not really double standards and are just basic decency/common sense, so yeah half of this list is practically BS, for the people who say women should go walking around with their tits out like men, I would like to go tell you to try it and see what the consequences are.
