Artist Reimagines 5 Disney Dads As Real People And They Look Like Hollywood Actors

Jirka Väätäinen is a Finnish graphic designer and illustrator whose illustrations of Disney characters in real life went viral a few years ago. Now the artist is back with a handful of new illustrations – this time he reimagined Disney dads as real people and they look like they could be real Hollywood actors.

In an interview with Bored Panda, Jirka said the project started with him wanting to give King Triton a realistic makeover since “The Little Mermaid” is his favorite Disney Movie. Since it was a while since the artist had done such a series, he decided to take on other Disney father figures as well.

“This whole Disney project of mine has gone on for eight years, and to be honest, I do struggle with finding the time and inspiration to keep on creating more,” said Jirka. “Having said that, it has still remained a fun thing to do if I do find spare time, though. So we will have to see when this wave of inspiration hits me again.”

“Professionally, I’ve always been an art director & graphic designer first, and consider to be an illustrator on the side,” says Jirka. “But I am into all visual things, and one of my biggest interests has got a lot to do with fashion and my personal style, which are something I regularly share on my social media, too.”
