Artist Creates Death-Inspired Comics To Fight Her Depression

Published 8 years ago

Haenuli is a fashion designer from South Korea who has been battling depression by drawing a friendly relationship between a girl and death in the form of a skeleton. “Even dark things give comfort,” she told Bored Panda.

Everything began when Haenuli visited the The Musée d’Orsay museum in Paris, France. Marianne Stokes’s painting “Young Girl and Death” was the one which caught her attention. “This gave me so much inspiration in dealing with my own depression,” the artist said. “I thought about my lost friends, broken hearts and hard times that I’ve been through. I wanted to accept my depression and I started to draw with short messages.”
