David Beckham Gets Pranked When Going To See His Statue For The First Time
As we’ve seen proven time and time again, even celebrities aren’t safe from pranks by their friends – and this time it’s not Ryan Reynolds. Recently, the Los Angeles Galaxy were planning to honor legendary soccer player David Beckham by erecting a statue of him outside the stadium. However, James Corden of The Late Late Show with James Corden decided to prank the soccer player, all complete with annoying fans, terrible highlight reel and even horrible statue that would even make Ronaldo’s look like a masterpiece.

Beckham was completely unaware of the prank and thought the cameras were filming footage to be shared online. The player remained calm during the whole ordeal but you could tell he was about to snap nearing the end.

Beckham hates being called Dave and says only his mother calls him that – so James hired an actor who not only insisted on calling the player “Dave” but also got the name of his team wrong.

Even Chris Klein, the president of LA Galaxy, was in on the prank and was the one that unveiled Beckham’s hilarious highlight reel.

Beckham wasn’t the first one to have his sculpture botched – players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Brandi Chastain, and Mohamed Salah got to experience it too. Naturally, David was worried this could happen to him too.
