Sad Animals Facts That’ll Make You Slightly Depressed
Knowledge makes you happy? Then how about learning some “Sad Animal Facts.” This is a series of illustration posted on a tumblr of same name and drawn by Brooke Barker. Each sad fact (for example, elephants can’t jump) is accompanied by an animal commenting on his situation. They range from sad to optimistic to jerkish. After all, jellyfish don’t have hearts, they don’t care.
Word of warning: not all animal facts are, shall we say, in line with current scientific thought. For example, the one about dogs is actually a mistake. Dogs can and will watch TV, and there are TV channels meant for exclusively for canines. I don’t know if they’re watching “Keeping Up With The Pomeranians”, but doggie TV habits makes me doubt their much-touted intelligence.
Brooke Barker is an illustrator who also does TV commercials and Wieden+Kennedy. Her work has been appreciated by New York Times, Rachel Ray, Laughing Squid “and her dentist”. She has also collaborated on the “It’s Different Every Day” calendar, which featured a different quirky image every day of the year.

Got wisdom to pour?
Rather than the disclaimer in the introduction that the following contain misinformation (dogs can see TV), why not just remove the misinformation?
