This Woman Posts Her Outfits Her Boyfriend Hates And What He Has To Say About Them (30 Pics)
Olivia Jackson is a London-based blogger who seems to be a pro at coming up with outfits her boyfriend hates. She posts the outfits along with her boyfriend’s comments to her Instagram account titled clothesmyboyfriendhates and has so far gathered over 62k followers in less than two years.
“My inspiration came from my boyfriend’s sarcastic comments about my outfits, but my willingness to wear them anyway, and him still loving me anyway,” said the blogger in an interview with Bored Panda. Olivia says she aims to empower women to dress for themselves rather for others around them.
According to Olivia, humor plays a big part in the whole process. “He probably doesn’t appreciate [the outfits] because he doesn’t keep up with women’s fashion trends and that I’m partial to a bright colour or something with pom poms on,” explains Olivia. “Luckily, he’s now used to me wearing them anyway and not listening so there’s not too much negotiation – just an eye roll or sarcastic comment from him usually!”
The blogger jokes that her boyfriend loves that she found a community of women whose partners hate their fashion choices too. “Despite his sarcastic comments and eye rolls, he still comes out with me wearing a ‘hospital gown’ or ‘mechanics outfit’ and is totally supportive of me wearing what I want and dressing for myself,” says Olivia.
