This Wife Was Dying From Laughter After She Found Out Her Husband Was Building A Bed For Their Cat, Not For Themselves
Is there anything we wouldn’t do for our furry friends? There’s just something about their adorable furry paws and tiny noses that makes you want to give them all of your love. One Florida man, Chris Carlson, recently decided to take it a step forward by creating some unique furniture for his new pet. And after his wife, Julia, shared the photos on Facebook, people instantly fell in love with his creation.

Chris had always told Julia that getting a pet was too much of a commitment – but recently surprised her by bringing Ollie home after saying he’s going grocery shopping. The husband instantly knew their new furry friend needed a special place to sleep.
“Husband said he was going to make a bed frame. I thought it was for our new mattress…. It was for the cat”

“Guys, Chris said, ‘okay I’m gonna go make the bed now,’ and I’m like yessss we’ll finally have a bed frame for our new mattress. I check on him an hour later and he has built A MINIATURE BEDFRAME AND SIDE TABLE FOR THE CAT. I’m dying,” writes Julia.

In an interview with Bored Panda, Chris said he came up with the idea on the spot. His wife had been searching for cat teepees online and he knew she’d find his idea hilarious.

Of course, Chris was no beginner, when it came to woodworking: “I’ve dabbled in woodworking as a hobby for close to a decade!” said the husband. “I’m self-taught with the help of YouTube DIY pages.”

He created the cat bed from scraps of wood he had lying around and the whole project took him about an hour. “The best part was my wife thinking I was making OUR Cali King sized bed frame. When she came to check on me around the end of the building process, she immediately snorted and started hysterically laughing,” joked Chris.

The couple posted the cat bed on Reddit too and spent about 6 hours checking how many upvotes they got.

“I have gotten hundreds of requests for cat beds now that the pictures went viral on Reddit and Facebook,” said Chris. Who knows, maybe it’ll turn out to be a great business idea?
