10 Miniature Dioramas Of Detailed Extraterrestrial Landscapes Created By Caroline Dewison
Dive into the imagination of Caroline Dewison’s extraterrestrial landscapes in diminutive form. Her fascinating miniature dioramas show UFOs hovering over ovoid backdrops of valleys, streams, and mountainous snow-capped landscapes.
Based in the Northwest of England, UK, Dewison’s work is often inspired by the woodlands surrounding her studio in Warrington. Her minuscule otherwordly depictions are hand-painted scenes influenced by her childhood fascination with extraterrestrial beings.

Dewison imbues her art with the speculative possibilities of aliens and exoplanets in transformative creations using Jersmonite, clay, laser-cut plywood, acrylic paints and a 3D-printing pen. To create an illusion of depth, Dewison cleverly affixes the flying saucers to jut outwards from two-dimensional backgrounds in each diorama.

Dewison reveals that she believes we may not be alone in this galaxy and has developed her skills to portray new scientific discoveries made within her lifetime in her creative efforts. She revealed, “I specialise in the use of miniatures and dioramas to create magical and enchanting pieces of art inspired by the natural world, past, present and future. My passion is to create secret places and hidden worlds where nature reigns supreme, transporting viewers through miniature portals to a realm of fantasy and imagination.”
