Artist Creates Comics That Are Funny, Yet Sad And Twisted At The Same Time (20 New Pics)
At first impression, many would think that comics featuring bunnies, cupcakes, teddy bears, or flowers must be cheery and optimistic. Well, not in Ryan Pagelow’s case. Ryan Pagelow is a creator of the popular webcomic series called “Buni.” Ryan creates mostly wordless comics, which initially appear funny, yet end on an unexpected, twisted, and sometimes dark note.
His main character Buni Ryan describes as “a naive optimist with terrible luck.” The author also depicts Buni as someone who “is constantly being crushed by the real world.” Buni is illustrated as an eternal optimist whose best intentions never seem to work. But yet, he keeps wishing for the best every day.
Now scroll below and look at some cute comics with not-so-cute endings Ryan has created for the “Buni” series. Check out the last article featuring Pagelow’s comics here.
