Mind-Bending Photos That Look Photoshopped But Are Actually Real
Life imitates art and, sometimes, Photoshop! Some of the images here are too bizarre to be true, but yet they are. Whether created by human hand (in park landscaping) or by happenstance (like the hanging burned utility pole), the landscape shots in these pictures are fascinating. But, we assure you, they’re all authentic! We’re a reliable quasi-journalistic outlet, after all!
Photo manipulation is as old photography. It was a lot harder in the early days, when editing had to be done with ink, paint, air brushes, double-exposure, piecing photos or negatives together in the darkroom and so on. Most notably, in has been used to remove nonpersons out of photographs in the Soviet Union. And while photo editing software existed before Photoshop’s release in 1990, it really took off with the Adobe product, making it into a household name and even a verb.
