These Amazing Sculptures Of Animals By Barbara Franc Were Created Using Scrap Metal (10 Pics)
Barbara Franc is a London-based artist who creates intricate sculptures of animals using scrap metal and discarded items. The artist says she has always been fascinated by the shapes and sculptural forms of animals, and adds that they’re a never-ending source of inspiration to her. To capture the feeling of movement and presence in her sculpture, Barbara uses wire and other materials in a way that suggests drawing in three dimensions. “This allows me greater freedom to add changes whenever I want during the construction to keep the feeling fluid and to reflect the diversity of movement and form,” explains the artist.

Some of the things that inspire the artist the most are 19th century animal engravings, domesticated animals, the movement of racing animals, and both organic and inorganic skeletal structures.
