Astronomical Watch Accurately Shows The Solar System’s Movements On Your Wrist
Midnight Planétarium is a luxuriuos masterpiece of science and design – a watch that shows 6 planets from the Solar system rotating around the Sun in their actual pace. The creation of this spectacular device took 3 whole years of work and 396 separate pieces – which is why it costs $245,000.
The planets are represented with tiny precious and semiprecous stones: Mercury (serpentine), Venus (chloromelanite), Earth (turquoise), Mars (red jasper), Jupiter (blue agate), and Saturn (sugilite). 2 planets from the Solar System were not included given the pace of their rotation around the Sun pace, which would hardly be noticeable within a human lifetime: it takes over 84 years for Uranus and 164 years for Neptune to complete full revolutions!
This astonishing piece was presented to the public this month at the annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva by Van Cleef & Arpels in partnership with Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw.

Got wisdom to pour?
where can order?
Awesome Watch
Superb post thanks for sharing…..
3 years to make, 396 pieces, $245,000 and it doesn’t even have all the planets what a waste of metal. If you can’t make it perfect for that much money don’t do it at all.
Well, frankly, I believe it would be the size of a dinner plate if it did
Want :P
Beautiful, but I wish the time was more obvious…
Olivia,
The shooting star just inside the 24-hour dial indicates the time. It does 21:45 (9:45 PM) on the large, full-face images.
Shame, cObvious! ;-)

Oh, I was wondering why that was there. :)
I have this timepiece, if you look really close the tiny earth spins on an axis it’s not difficult to approximate the time based on what part is facing the little sun in the middle.
But can it tell time
lol
yes it tell :))
