Woman, Tired Of People Not Knowing What Anxiety Is, Decides To Share Her Experiences With A Powerful Post
Dealing with anxiety is an everyday struggle not everyone can understand. Mental illnesses are often passed off as something made up in one’s head, and people suffering from them are usually advised to “just get over it.” So, to inform the society about the issue, Brittany Nichole Morefield, a mother who suffers from anxiety, decided to share her experiences online.
In a post that was shared more than 418 thousand times on facebook, Morefield is straightforward about what it really means to battle anxiety. “Anxiety is crippling. Anxiety is dark. Anxiety is having to make up excuse after excuse for your behavior.”
Still, after describing all the awful details that become a part of your life when you’re struggling with a mental illness, the woman stays hopeful and encourages everyone else not to give up. “This is not your fault. This is not the end. You are strong.”
