18 Things You Should Never Do Abroad

Published 10 years ago

Countries are different by culture, so it’s quite easy to make a faux pas while traveling. Here, a Bored Panda community member has collected pieces of advice on what NOT to do in several countries. It’s impolite to discuss money in France or earnings in England, which is quite understandable. The fact that you shouldn’t bring an even number of flowers in Ukraine (or Eastern Europe in general), at least not to people who are still alive, is a little hard to explain.

It might seem strange that you mustn’t leave a tip Japan, but it is what it is, and it would insult the waiters. Meanwhile, you shouldn’t feel offended if a waiter brings the bill together with your order – that’s just how it’s done in Japan.

Safe travels!
