Artist Creates Surreal World Using Only His iPhone
The most common use of the iPhone camera is taking pictures nobody ever wanted or needed to see. Not for Charlie Davoli. He uses it to create art. The iPhone is always in his hand, and that’s how he create a large photo library for his surreal edits. Davoli then uses PsTouch, iDesign, Superimpose, MatterApp, and Mextures to edit pictures on the phone.
“My influences are a chimerical blend of the metaphysical imagery in De Chirico with a love for Bauhaus geometry and the pop culture of Warhol and Lichtenstein all with the addition of some sci-fi retro,” Davoli wrote on Bored Panda. “I love that anyone can enjoy a ride in my amusement park. Just like going on a roller-coaster!”
