Legally Blind Artist Express His Frustration By Creating Endless GIFS
From the time when man made the first crude gif, he set out on a quest to make it loop seamlessly. This longing transcends the boundaries of gender, age and culture. And for George Redhawk, it’s a way to express his frustration with being legally blind. This artist creates his dynamic art via the help of computer technology; an another story of potential given to the people by the inexorable advance of science.
“That’s when I realized I could get some bizarre and strange movements,” Redhawk told The Creators Project. “I can control the movements on what moves and doesn’t move. I had a lot of time to practice with it. I was just doing it for fun while my wife was at work. I saw what it could do and couldn’t do.” Before hacking into morphing software to recreate the impression of his failing sight, Redhawk used to teach medicine.
