A Mystical Forest Of 400 Oddly Bent Trees Growing In Poland
Poland has a crazy forest of trees called the Crooked Forest, and photographer Kilian Schönberger took some dreamy pictures of it. The Crooked Forest is located outside Nowe Czarnowo, West Pomerania, Poland. Back in 1930’s, it was a part of Germany, and that’s when the trees gained their strange shape. Somebody or something bent the tree trunks 90 degrees parallel to the ground.
The theories are that someone did it in an effort to produce bent wood to make furniture or barrel making easier. Others blame witchcraft, magnetic fields, and all sorts of things. All we know is that Kilian Schönberger is a “professional landscape and architecture photographer from Cologne / Germany”, and we’re happy he visited the Crooked Forest.
