Rainy days are perfect for curling up inside with a book. But how do you fight the gloom when you have to go outside? By painting the streets with paint that only shows up when wet! This idea by a group of South Korean designers and Pantone brought to life in Seoul. Now, when the monsoon season starts, the streets come alive with colorful aquatic animals.
“Inspired by South Korea’s culture of emphasizing the importance of the flow of rivers, the paintings utilize Korea’s topographical features that create a flow and puddle of rain water in every street to fill the streets with color and life,” writes the project website.
