Artist Transforms Famous Landmarks With Paper Cutouts
Some people have the need to transform famous landmarks – Rich McCor does it with paper cutouts and photography. A simple perspective trick and some photo aligning is all he needs to turn Arc de Triomphe into a LEGO man. Or to give the Little Mermaid in Denmark a selfie stick. I suppose you could claim that McCor also needs cool cutouts!
McCor goes by “@paperboyo” on Instagram, where he caught the eye of Lonely Planet. “My first idea was using a cut-out to transform Big Ben into a wristwatch,” McCor wrote on Bored Panda. “Whilst I was there, a girl and her father took an interest in what I was doing and I showed them the photo on my camera screen. They were full of enthusiasm for the idea, and it spurred me on to do more. I then took photos of St Pauls, the London Eye and Trafalgar Square and whilst I was doing this, I would post them on my Instagram alongside a quirky fact I’d picked up about the landmark.”
