The Truth Behind Instagram Photos
It’s easy to look active and deep on social media. Chompoo Baritone shows us how reality can easily be faked on Instagram. She posted some dreamy Instagram pictures, then posted the images incorporated into their uncropped originals. A creative workplace is revealed to be only a small part of a messy room, and lonely bike rides on a deserted paths suddenly have a lot more people on them.
Chompoo Baritone is a photographer in Bangkok, Thailand, who studied her trade at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. She’s the latest person to be making fun of Instagramification of life. Celeste Barber made fun of celebrity Instagram pictures while Tilda Lindstam posts her model life in all the grainy, uncropped glory.
Got wisdom to pour?
I agree, to a degree, it’s not faking reality. It’s showing the beauty in the little things that stand out to you. It’s like appreciating the little things that are beautiful in an otherwise for the most part, an ugly world.
It’s like the author said something new! Nope. It’s not only about Instagram. Take a look at most photographs in social medias, press and tv. It’s just one step to the right or one the left. Not necessarily people tell lies.
We often find ourself obsessed with taking the perfect photo to upload to our Instagram. But as you can see, we are really omitting what is important in these pics, the imperfections that lie outside the picture frame. These elements are what really makes up a picture! A picture needs emotion and character not made up perfection! The next time you want to take a snap with your phone, put it down and instead capture it with your eyes. that’s what photography is about, be creative. It’s not faking reality, it’s showing it from a different perspective.
