Incredible Chalk Art By Japanese School Kids For Blackboard Drawing Contest
Japanese schoolchildren apparently love chalkboards, and drawing art on them. That’s why manufacturer Nichigaku started a Blackboard Art contest! They received 50 submissions from 249 students. The blackboard art was extremely varied in subject, from fantasy landscapes, to mount Fuji, to celebrations of extracurricular activities. These kids have some collaborative talent and Nichigaku made sure to reward them: the winners received gift cards up to 100,000 yen ($812 or €716) in value.
Nichigaku is a Japanese manufacturer in Japan that makes white-, black- and electronic boards for classrooms. Blackboard art has been gaining popularity with Japanese children for the last few years, so we can expect more art to come.
